President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud will attend the forthcoming Uganda’s golden Jubilee where over 14 other heads of States have confirmed attendance.

The announcement that the Somali president would attend was made by the Ugandan Minister for Information and Guidance Karooro Okurut at a press conference in Kampala on Tuesday.
The event is set to mark 50 years of Independence and will be attended by foreign dignitaries, heads of state and representatives of international organizations including the UN, World Bank, European Union, African Development Bank, Aga Khan Development Network and others.
If confirmed, this will be President Mohamud's first official international trip since ousting Sheikh Sharif Sheikh Ahmed in Presidential elections on September 10th.
