Salehi calls for restoration of peace to Somalia

Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi said on Wednesday that Iran hopes for restoration of peace, stability and tranquility to Somalia.
Salehi made the remarks in a meeting with new Somalian Ambassador to Tehran Khalifa Kadiyah Moussa in Tehran on Wednesday.
In the meeting, the new Somali ambassador submitted a copy of his credentials to Salehi.
Referring to good relations between the two countries, Salehi voiced Iran’s readiness to broaden political and economic relations and cooperation with Somalia.
The new Somali ambassador, for his part, expressed satisfaction with his presence in Iran and termed the two sides relations as brotherly'. He also underlined that his country is determined to broaden ties with Tehran.
Lauding the humanitarian services rendered by the Islamic Republic of Iran, he called for continuation of such support and services to his people.
