Kenya: 3 MP from North Eastern Province endorses Uhuru Kenyatta as their presidential candidate

Nairobi, Kenya - Three from Northern Province have public declared to support Uhuru Kenyatta as a presidential bid.

According to the Assistant minister, Mr. Mohamud Mohamed stated that a number of leaders from three counties within North Eastern is in full support of Uhuru Kenyatta as their presidential candidate...

“We from Mandera County have 100% support for Mr. Uhuru Kenyatta and his running mate, Mr. William Ruto,” He stated.

Mr Mohamed, who is also the MP for Mandera West, hailed all those voters form the Mandera county to endorse the son of the first Kenyan President, Jomo Kenyatta, for development and change.

“For development in North Eastern, we need leadership with change we can believe in and we believe we have made the right decision,” Said Mr. Mohamed.

Mr.  Mohamed  who spoke at the Jubilee delegates meeting at Moi International Sports Center in Nairobi, attended by thousands of Jubilee supporters, added that  Jubilee coalition has manifetos that will help the province be at per with the rest of Kenya.

MP for Dujis constituency, Garrisa County, Mr. Adan Duale echoed the same sentiments confirming that his region fully endorses the presidential aspirants under the Jubilee coalition.

“In the previous government, we were promised by the CORD presidential candidate to develop the north Eastern province which had been neglected over the previous Moi Regime, but we suffered the same,” He echoed.

“Until know we have no even a kilometer of tarmac road in Wajir and Mandera and we have always been in support for the CORD presidential candidate always and no change has been seen in the whole province, as from Garrisa to border point 1,” Said MP for Dujis.

Together with the two were Nominated MP Sofia Abdi, Maendeleo ya Wanawake chair Rukia Subo aspirants for governor; Mr. Ali Roba for Mandera county, Mr. Ali Korane for Garrisa county , Senate; Mr. Billow Kerow for Mandera County, Mr. Yussuf Haji for Garrisa County, Women Representative, Member of Parliaments, County representative among other from the larger North Eastern Province.
