The move is in line with the efforts of Charity Initiative launched under the directives by H. H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of General Women's Union, and of Family Development Foundation, Supreme Chairperson for Motherhood and Childhood Council and follow of H. H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler's Representative in the Western Region, Chairman of the Red Crescent Authority (RCA).
Sheikh Fatima said the setting up of Emirates Mobile Hospital at the Somali-Kenyan Border is an extension to the humanitarian services being provided by the UAE to the victims and refugees at the camps under the directives by President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and His Highness General Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.
The field hospital includes 50 beds and 23 doctors, technicians and administrators.
