Finnish minelayer FNS Pohjanmaa docked in Djibouti on Saturday to take part in an EU-led operation against Somali pirates.The ship had left Finnish waters more than three weeks ago.
Commander Mika Raunu, captain of FNS Pohjanmaa, told the Finnish News Agency (STT) that the vessel had escorted shipping before officially joining the Atalanta operation.
FNS Pohjanmaa is to join the Atalanta taskforce on Tuesday.
