TIFF officials have announced that rapper K’naan will be the not-so-surprise musical performer at Sunday’s free block party to celebrate the TIFF Bell Lightbox.The Somali-born K’naan has enjoyed a massively successful year thanks to his song “Wavin’ Flag,” which was the FIFA 2010 anthem.
He will join fellow musicians Fefe Dobson, The Sadies, Karkwa and 100 Monkeys.
The event runs Sunday from 11-4 on King between John and Peter Sts.
Besides the music, the afternoon will include a kids area, free cupcakes, dance and improve performances and screenings inside the Lightbox building.
