Two suspected Somali pirates arrested in Socotra

insidenewsSOCOTRA,(Saba) – The coastguard arrested two suspected Somali pirates on their boat in Socotra Archipelago, the Interior Ministry said on Monday.

The pirates were handed to the military base in Hudaibu island as a prelude to handing them to the authorities in Hadramout Province.

Apart, from the topic, Shabwa Governor Ali al Ahmedi said the Al-Awaliq tribes are now fighting al Qaeda militants supporting the army which has been launching large-scale operations against terrorists in southern and southeastern areas.

The tribes affirmed they are against al Qaeda and voiced their readiness to face militants wherever they appear in the province, he said.
