The Islamist insurgent group Al Shabab invaded the Boondheere neighborhood north of the capital on Friday, killing 3 people, wounding at least 12 more and looting a local radio station of its equipment, forcing it off the air, witnesses said. It was the latest in a series of attacks against independent media houses and professionals. Boondheere quickly fell under Shabab control, the witnesses said, although the government claimed it fought the insurgents back.
