The European Union (EU) has decided to provide humanitarian aid to the tune of 20 million euros for people affected by drought in Djibouti, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Kenya, Somalia and Uganda, according to an official statement published Wednesday in Brussels, the Belgian capital.
The money will be geared towards financing programmes aimed at alleviating the effects of droughts and providing excellent living conditions for the people.
They will also support efforts to strengthen the capacity of the people from these countries to adapt to climate changes.
