Jijiga, June 13, 2010 (jijiga) - Somali regional state has launched a four-day polio vaccination campaign since last Saturday, state health bureau said.
Bureau head, Dr. Yusuf Mohammed Ali said on the occasion that more than 885,440 children under the age of five will benefit from the campaign.
He said some 3,599 health workers, coordinators and supportive workers are participating in the campaign.
The government and development partners allocated more than 4.6 million birr for implementation of the campaign.
