UNDP Somalia invites interested companies/contractors to apply on the following:
Summary of proposal:
The aim of this Invitation for Prequalification (IFP) is to identify and pre-qualify a “pool” of contractors to carry out civil works (such as office buildings, prisons, conference rooms, perimeter walls, schools, police stations, etc) of various sizes and complexities at UNDP Somalia’s project sites.
Outputs:
UNDP will compile a shortlist of pre-qualified Contractors with demonstrable technical and financial capabilities who will be invited to participate in the bidding process for future tenders for civil works.
Submission details
Companies/Contractors are requested to submit the completed standard prequalification form with all documents presented in the English language and in an orderly manner as mentioned in the prequalification form. Incomplete submissions will not be considered.
The submission can be in the form of normal mail channels or in sealed envelope.
Closing date of submission and Contact Details
The Prequalification form can be obtained from the UNDP Offices in Hargiesa, Garowe, Mogadishu and Nairobi. The prequalification form can also be received through mail by submitting request to [email protected]. The Prequalification form and supplementary documentation must be received by UNDP no later than 12:00 pm Kenyan/Somali time on 01 March 2010. Materials should be submitted by e-mail to [email protected] , or in sealed envelopes to any UNDP Offices in Hargiesa, Garowe, Mogadishu and Nairobi, or by postal/courier service with a tracking number to the designated contact person below. Please indicate “Prequalification – Civil Works Somalia” on all communications. Applications received after the above deadline will not be considered.

Companies/Contractors will be selected in accordance with the procedure set out in the UNDP Procurement Guidelines and UNDP Financial Rules and Regulations.
This prequalification does not entail any commitment on the part of UNDP, either financial or otherwise. UNDP reserve the right to accept or reject any or all prequalification without incurring any obligation to inform the affected applicant/s of the grounds.
