advertisementsQatar Charity has opened a multi-services centre in Somalia, costing about QR1.5mn, that is expected to benefit about 2,800 people each day.
The Sheikha Kimam al-Thani Centre is the largest development project implemented in Somalia, as it spread out over 15,400sq m in a region lacking development projects such as institutes and clinics.
The centre is to provide basic education, healthcare, clean water, Qur’an teaching and various training and would be subject to expansion in the future. It also houses a mosque, a clinic, vocational and primary schools as well as an administrative building, commercial shops and an artesian well.
