Hearing set for men charged in River Cree casino killing

The mother of a slain young Somali man says every day waiting for justice is "another day of pain" after the accused killers' preliminary trial was set for June.
"If they delay one night, it's pain for me. It extends my sadness and pain," said Fouzia, mother of Mohamed Ali Ibrahim, outside court in Stony Plain today.
There she saw for the first time the faces of Adam Michael Brown, 21, and Alexander Edward Colin Reid, 20, her son's accused killers.
Mohamed Ali Ibrahim was shot and killed Aug. 24 outside the River Cree Resort on the Enoch reserve just west of Edmonton.
The accused made their first court appearance today by closed-circuit television from the Edmonton Remand Centre.

Their preliminary inquiry was set for June 1.
About 30 members of the Somali community bused out to Stony Plain to witness the proceedings. The group filled half of the courtroom.
