Somali pirates who seized a German gas tanker in the Gulf of Aden are demanding 6 million dollars for the vessel's release.
The pirates on board the 3,500-ton tanker contacted the Hamburg-based Bernhard Schulte ship management company on Saturday, two days after hijacking the vessel.
The tanker, with its 13-member crew, was en route from Europe to the Far East, transporting liquefied petroleum gas.
