Five men will go on trial accused of beating a Somali teenager to death in a Liverpool park.Ahmed Mohamed Ibrahim, 17, was attacked in Sefton Park in the early hours of March 11 - nine months after he fled his native Somalia for a new life in the UK.
The Liverpool Community Centre student was living in the city with his mother, Asiya, who left war-torn Mogadishu two years earlier.
Khadar Mohammed, 22, Essa Mohammed Ismail, 21, Ali Mohammed, 19, Ibrahim Ahmed, 22, all from Toxteth, and Ahmed Kayse Ahmed, 29, of London, all deny murder.
The trial takes place at Liverpool Crown Court.
