APA-Cairo (Egypt) Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh urged countries bordering the Red Sea to cooperate to end piracy off Somalia, saying that the foreign presence in the Red Sea is not enough.

In an exclusive interview with the national Egyptian television aired on Wednesday, he said the reform of Somali institutions will mean added value to that cooperation to end piracy.

He said as the two Red Sea states, Egypt and Yemen will consider establishing a maritime line between them during the coming meeting of the Joint Committee of the two countries.

He lauded the strong ties between Egypt and Yemen, reiterating Yemen’s determination to continue fighting terrorism despite the recent terrorist attacks near the US embassy in the Yemeni capital, Sana’a.
