The Kinondoni Regional Police Commander (RPC) Mark Kalunguyeye said the incident occurred on Friday evening at Mabibo External, when Zaki was in the car garage. Mr Kalunguyeye said after Zaki had parked the vehicle, he touched naked wires and as he was trying to disembark, he was electrocuted and died instantly.
Meanwhile, a pedestrian Bernard Lusenguna (30) died after being hit by a speeding commuter bus at Kipawa area in Ilala District, Dar es Salaam region. Ilala RPC Faustine Shilogile said the incident occurred on Friday night in Nyerere road, when Lusenguna was hit by an unindentified car which was being driven towards the airport.
He said that a driver sped away and police set a man- hunt for him. The body of the deceased is preserved at Amana Hospital mortuary. In other incident, three people have been arrested by police, after having been found with drugs and four dices of cocaine. The suspects are Ally Juma (20), Said Mohamed (18) and Hemed Abdullah, all residents of Mbagala Charambe in Temeke District, Dar es Salaam region.
