Talking to reporters, the governor said that the reasons he is asking the TFG to send troops to the city is to strengthen the security of the city which recently has seen an increase in violent attacks and insecurity.
The governor added that if additional forces to strengthen the security of the city are not sent to the city, violence and insecurity will continue to increase. The governor said that insecurity in the city has increased to the level where TFG officers living in the city have been attacked.
The city of Baidao is where the TFG Parliament is temporarily seated and the top three TFG members maintain houses in the city although neither the President nor the Prime Minister of the TFG live in those house on permanent basis.
