
The Somali Canadian Diaspora Alliance Presents:
WHAT
You are cordially invited to attend a discussion forum being organized by The Somali Canadian Diaspora Alliance. This forum is intended to broaden the knowledge base of all Canadians who are interested in working with peace-creation and development initiatives in Somalia. It will create a forum for intellectual discussion to actively define the role of the Canadians and Somali Canadians in finding the resolution to the violence and human suffering in Somalia.
The Keynote Speaker Will Be:
Mohamoud Nur (Tarsan) is the Director of planning and training and a member of the executive committee of the Alliance for the Re-liberation of Somalia, a political opposition group based in Asmara Eritrea. Mohamoud is also the Chairperson of the Somali Diaspora Congress; a coalition of Somali Diaspora groups in Europe and North America. Mohamoud Attended peace conferences between the Somali Transitional Federal Government (TFG) and the Union of Islamic courts as a political advisor of the later. Mohamoud was a London Local Authority election candidate for councillors’ post The Labour Party - (currently the ruling party). Mohamoud was also one of the co-founders of Somali Concern Group- a politically Orientated, lobby and advocacy group for Somali issues. Mohamoud attended Somali peace conference as an official delegate, became member of the conflict resolution and reconciliation committee of the same conference. He also contributed to the official road mapping schemes of the future of Somali conflict resolution and reconciliation.

Mohamoud has BA (Hon) Degree in business studies: University of Westminster-UK and Postgraduate Certificate in Development Management at Open University and NVQ- Level 3, 4 Advice Work At Federation Independent Advice Council (FIAC) D33, 34 Advice work assessor at Westminster College
