Djibouti won their preliminary qualifier by beating Somalia 1-0 on Friday while Madagascar beat The Comoros Islands 4-0.

Also football minnows Sierra Leone have earned the right to try and qualify for the 2010 World Cup after drawing 0-0 with Guinea Bissau in Bissau.

The Leone Stars, from the war-torn west Africa nation, advanced to the qualifying draw for 2010 by virtue of a 1-0 aggregate win.

The result sees them join fellow qualifiers Djibouti and Madagascar and 45 other African countries in the hat for the qualifying draw for Africa's first ever World Cup. The draw takes place in Durban on 25 November 2007.
