Libyan Medical Aid Shipment for Somali Refugees in Djibouti Arrives

Libyan cargo plane loaded with a shipment of medical aid arrived Saturday at Djibouti international airport as part of the medical aid provided by the Libyan people to the Somali refugees in Djibouti.

 

The Libyan medical aid shipment was received at the airport by the general secretaries for the ministries of Health and Foreign Affairs, director of Arab Affairs Department at the foreign ministry and the Charge d'Affaire and members of Libyan Brotherhood Bureau to Djibouti.

 

The General Secretary at the foreign ministry in Djibouti praised, in a statement, the efforts of the Leader of the Libyan Revolution and the Libyan people for the people of the continent and for the humanitarian aid to ease the suffering of the Somali people.

 

He indicated that the Somali refugees, who fled to Djibouti due to fighting in Somalia are in thousands.

 

It is worth noting that the Libyan medical cargo plane has left Benina international airport in Benghazi Shabia Friday evening, including a Libyan medical team to provide medical services to their Somali brothers fled to Djibouti due to conflict in the country.

 

The shipment includes ( 20 ) tons of medicine and blankets as part of the humanitarian aid provided by the Libyan people to their African brothers who are suffering as a result of natural disasters and conflicts witnessed in some areas of the continent.
