On Saturday, January 6, 2007, The Somali-Canadian National Council will be holding a Somali community support rally for the Transitional Federal Government of Somalia to be held at the Days Inn at
The Council expects that about 400 supporters, and distinguished Canadians, including several federal members of parliament will attend the meeting. The council also will reach out to all members of the Somali community, including those who supported the other factions in a spirit of reconciliation and unity. “Now that the TFG has won back its legitimate authority in the whole country, we will urge the TFG and its supporters to reach out to all segments of the Somali society”, said Abdirizak Jama, an official of the Somali Canadian National Council.
