MOGADISHU, April 23 (Reuters) - A sixth day of fierce fighting in Somalia's capital Mogadishu killed at least 18 civilians and 19 insurgents on Monday, taking the death toll from the latest violence to 267, a human rights group said.
The figures, which do not include Somali government troops or their Ethiopian military allies killed, were published by the Elman Peace and Human Rights Organisation, which tracks casualties from hospitals, families and counts on the street.
The toll could not immediately be independently verified.
