Somali Prime Minister Names New Ministers

Mogadishu, Somalia (HOL) – Prime Minister Nur Hasan Husein (Nur Ade) has appointed 6 new ministers to replace the ministers who resigned yesterday.

The Prime Minister said that he is still waiting clarification from the ministries whose names appeared on the resignation list but are outside the country.

“The reason I have named the new ministers immediately is that the cabinet needs quorum the next time it sits and that would not have been possible without filling the positions vacated by the ministers who resigned yesterday” said the Prime Minister.

The new ministers appointed are:
Husein Mohamed Muse, Minister of Livestock, Fisheries and Environment
Abdalla Haji Ali, Minister of Health
Fahmo Ahmed Nur, Minister of Women and Family Services
Abdalla Bos Ahmed, Minister of Education
Abdulasis Hassan Mohamed , Minister of Labor and Social Service
And Sma'el Hasasn Mohamoud Timir, Deput Minister of Intergovernmental Affairs and Reconciliation

On the other hand, Prime Minister Nur Adde talked about an explosion that took place at Maka Al-Mukarama street today which killed 20 women and wounded more than 50 others.

“We are very sad to hear the loss of lives and injuries that the explosion caused and we send our condolences to the families of those who have been affected by the explosion” said the Prime Minister while speaking to reporters in his office in Mogadishu.
