Communiqué de presse sur la visite au Canada de Daher Ahmed Farah, Président du MRD (Opposition Djiboutienne). M. Daher Ahmed Farah, Président du MRD (Mouvement pour le Renouveau démocratique et le Développement), l'un des principaux partis légalisés d'opposition en République Djibouti, effectuera  une visite de travail de 72 heures au Canada à partir du 21 septembre 2006, sur invitation de la communauté djiboutienne du Canada et de Djib-Watch (organisme qui oeuvre pour les droits de l'Homme et la Démocratie en République de Djibouti).

Durant cette visite, M. Daher Ahmed Farah :

- aura des entretiens avec des responsables et des démocrates canadiens sur la situation politique, économique et sociale à Djibouti, pays francophone que de multiples liens unissent au Canada. Il abordera notamment la question de la démocratie et des droits de l'Homme ;

-participera à une conférence sur Djibouti organisée par Djib-Watch à Ottawa ;

-rencontrera la diaspora djiboutienne du Canada, communauté importante qui partage avec ses concitoyens de l'intérieur et de l'extérieur du pays l'aspiration à la démocratie et au développement harmonieux en République de Djibouti.

Press release on the visit in Canada Of Daher Ahmed Farah, President of MRD (Djibouti Opposition).

Mr. Daher Ahmed Farah, President of the MRD (Movement for the democratic Revival and Development), one of the principal legalized opposition parties in Djibouti Republic, will from September 21, 2006 pay a work visit of 72 hours in Canada, on the invitation of the Djibouti community of Canada and of Djib-Watch (organization which works for the human rights and the Democracy in Republic of Djibouti).

During this visit, Mr. Daher Ahmed Farah:

- will have discussions with Canadian persons in charge and democrats on the political, economic and social situation in Djibouti, a French-speaking country that has multiple bonds link with Canada. He will tackle in particular the question of the democracy and the human rights;

- will take part in a conference on Djibouti organized by Djib-Watch in Ottawa;

- will meet the Djibouti Diasporas in Canada, an important community which shares with its fellow-citizens of the interior and the outside of the country the aspiration to the democracy and the harmonious development in Republic of Djibouti.
