Somalia’s displaced seek aid, security at camps

Somalia’s prime minister announced that 110 people had died from hunger in the past 48 hours in the country amid a drought in the Bay region.

Baidoa, southern Somalia – Somalia’s prime minister announced that 110 people had died from hunger in the past 48 hours in his country as a result of the ongoing drought in the Bay region.

Besides looking for food and water, internally displaced people at camps are also seeking protection from al-Shabab fighters.
