 It is my understanding of Islam that to k*ll another innocent humanbeing is prohibited by Allah and anyone who takes that sacred life away has sinned gravely.

But alshabaab are neither muslims nor ordianary humans, they are alien criminal th*gs who are experts in te*rorising innocent people all the time even during  the holy month of Rammadan. How evil can one be?

The second ten days 11-20 of Ramadan are the days of Forgiveness, Seek Allah’s forgiveness and repent for all sins.
Allahum-magh-fir-li dhunoobi Ya Rabbal Alameen
Rabbana Fagh-fir-lana dhunoobana wa kaf-fir-’anna sayyi-aatina wa ta-waf-fana ma-’al abraar.
(Surah Al-Imran:193

But alsabaab chose to k*ll and maim indiscriminately instead.

Can you link that criminal activity to Islam? of course you can't and we shouldn't.
