Why do some of us prefer to avoid the point of discusion and take a leap to talk about ogadenia for no apprent reason?
    adamjama @ 9/26/2007 1:02 PM EST
Both of you missed the point & started beating the bush to avoid. Dont get nervous just because I gave you a scary scenario. Don't get emotional when the tables are turned & we give you a possible scenario when you might be at the receiving end of the Ethiopian tank shells. Unlike you, we the true Somalis will be fighting & screaming if innocent civilians are slaughtered by Ethiopian tanks in Garoowe or anywhere else. But you avoided my question, will you still be cheering for TFG regardless of who is at the helm or which city is being bombarded? I knew you would avoid to answer any question that sheds light to your true colors. Nothing is impossible in this life, particularly in our region. Just look at who is presiding over Ethiopia, Eritrea, & Somalia & tell me where they were in the 1980's? What goes around, comes around. The chicken always comes home to roost.

It’s disingenuous for HOL to block any decent debate regarding about the state of our nation, perhaps its time create a blog or forum site with HOL.  ICU lost any credible intend which they might have harbored when they made that left turn in Afgoye and headed to Kismayo.  Secure Mogadishu, invited TFG and share power would have been a noble cause, again nobility is rare in Somalia. My enemy’s friend is my enemy is not a fair debate but an emotional one that obscures the reality of our affairs.

"That is exactly what Abdullahi did to UIC in a peacfull Mogadishu." Hello! are we kidding to each other, UIC weren't they running marathon of expansion to All South and North till they got stopped. Xata anagoo saan u soo indha cad, 8 bilood ka hor wixii dhacay weli maan hilmaamin. Brother hadaada amxaar neceb tahay oo gurigaaga haysto, anaguna ma jeclin reer kaloo Soomaaliyeed in gurigooda la haysto, haysasho waa isku mid, anagan deal baan galnay oo sida adiga laguu haysto loom haysto Somaaliya sidaad doontid u rogrog maalin kasta. Dirdiraha waa waxa dad badan meel ay la gaari waayeen.

The TFG has been making military and political blunders since it came to power less than two years . It failed to learn from it's mistakes and it blindly lets down it's people big time. It is obvious that it has neither the man power nor the political influence to give orders to the relatively peaceful region of Puntland about which oil company will carry out work in that region. The best way for the TFG to save face is to play low profile and settle this issue through diplomacy while they can
    dhodimeer @ 9/26/2007 7:53 AM EST
I wonder if the TFG is in a position to stop Puntland give Range the go ahead with it's oil and other mineral resources unless Meles decides to invade Puntland as he did in mogadisho and that will be another disaster. As much as i love to see somali government that is strong and capable of maitening peace and stability in the country i can't see the TFG filling that criteria so far

 Shanta;
Welcome back to the real World my friend. How is it that when it comes to natural resources you advocate regionalism & when it comes to Human resources & the desire to occupy Villa Somalia you are for Nationalism? You cannot keep your cake & eat it at the same time, that is impossible. What is good for the goose should be good for the gander. Your argument is the same one made by Abdullahi Yusuf when the Arte Government of Abdiqasim was created. He said we donn't recognize that government & we are entitled to run our region. I wonder what he would have done if Qasim came to Garoowe with Ethiopian tanks & forced Yeey & his supporters to accept him?. That is exactly what Abdullahi did to UIC in a peacfull Mogadishu. What is interesting in all this is nobody has any say in regional or national Somali issue unless aligned with Zenawe. Here is another scenario that might wake you up. If Abdullahi who is desperately trying to keep this thing together gets out of the way somehow & the showdown becames between Geedi with Ethiopin tanks & Cade Muse with few oil wells, I am sure you & other TFG supporters of today will be cheering for Geedi unless of course there was something more sinister all along. "xata ana yaa Haamaam"

Mauritius is the best-run country in Africa and Somalia the worst, according to a new good governance index published on Tuesday.
Somalia was seen as most lacking rule of law, worst on human rights and least able to sustain economic opportunity; Sudan was seen as most dangerous; and Chad was lowest on the human development index.
what do you thing  the worst in Africa? # 48 just thinking about a  that would you
    SHANTA @ 9/26/2007 12:26 AM EST
Lets us not nationalize our natural resources, every region is entitled to manage its resources provided it contributes a percentage of revenue generated by the oil to the federal government.  Geedi should focus in winning the peace rather than  signing concessions to oil companies.

Nin waalan ayaa wuxuu arkay hal iyo nirigteed oo is nuugaya, markaasuu intuu hashiina naasaha jaray, nirigtiina bishimaha jaray ayuu yiri "maxay ka nuugi, maxeeyse ku nuugi". Niman kuligood la haysto oo dhulkoodii gumeeysi gacanta u galiyey maxay khayraad iyo maamul iskaga qab-qabsanayaan?

It’s interesting to see what the south would do to see their
country man prospers while Mogadishu became a ghost town. I was in
Puntland region recently and I could not believe the wealth and economic
growth it sustained. It’s not very hard to see under 40 years of age with
holding over million dollar.

I wish our southern brothers can see what peace and stability brings.
War produces nothing but mutual destruction and anarchy. After 16 years
please wake up or wait until to be waken by your country men
vision of failed Somali state.
    Analyser @ 9/25/2007 7:43 PM EST
Why do you like Puntland to get stuck wait forever with rest of the country when they can move forward and expect to be the wealthiest part of the TFG, they may even help to bring peace and prosperity for the rest of the Country. Don’t you thing our problems are based on Poorness, Ignorance, Lack of Education, Territorialism, and Lack of Funding.
    madaalle @ 9/25/2007 3:15 PM EST
I would'nt encourage Puntland to make a suicidal decision like somaliland and stay in the cold for ever .How ever the TFG needs to be more diplomatic and reasonable to tackle this delicate issue
    Arraweelo10 @ 9/25/2007 1:30 PM EST
Cadde Muuse should hold his horses, one time saying his autonomous region comes under the Federal Gov't and another having a illegal deals with Range, is not acceptable. You are under federal Gov't who is resposible all the national resources, otherwise get out and get a stand like S/land did.
