However, there is a point, which begs for particular attention and needs to be observed profoundly and that is, using the name of God (SW) and his word to maltreat another Somali Muslim person in particular and innocent human being in general. I ask where this perverted ideology is imported from? And how it became widely accepted practice among Somali people? Therefore, in this short essay I will emphasise the supremacy and the holier nature of human being than the Qur’aan in order to be understood the natural position of human being which God placed them and the position, he put his word/Qur’aan itself.                               

Starting from today and how life has become intolerable and agonizing according to proliferating names to be used to harm the Somali person, it reflects the existential threat that Somali people and their young nation faces today. One of most horrific and savage name so far is the name of God which is so active nowadays in justifying killing, robbing and forcing people out of their homes. Hence the person who uses the name of God to justify killing other innocent life Muslims or non Muslim is someone who knows nothing about the word of God. Similarly, this person is ignorant about the position which the holy Qur’aan placed human beings and the position which God has put Qur’aan itself.               

Human beings are the spirit of God and the Qur’aan is the word of God. The spirit of God which is human beings is superior and holier than the word of God which is the Qur’aan. My interpretation of this concept has bases on the story of the creation of Adam (CS) when God mentioned this incident several verses in the Qur’aan in details about how God put the idea to the angels first before he instigated the process of creation of Adam, and those chapters are; chapter 2 verse 34, chapter 7 verse 11, chapter 15 verse 29, chapter 17 verse 61 and finally chapter 38 verse 72. Nonetheless, the reader must pay special attention to these two verses below in order to make clear sense of the focus of this topic;

Suuratu Al-xijr aayada (29)  فَإِذَا سَوَّيۡتُهُ ۥ وَنَفَخۡتُ فِيهِ مِن رُّوحِى فَقَعُواْ لَهُ ۥ سَـٰجِدِينَ (٢٩)

فَإِذَا سَوَّيۡتُهُ ۥ وَنَفَخۡتُ فِيهِ مِن رُّوحِى فَقَعُواْ لَهُ ۥ سَـٰجِدِينَ (٧٢)  Suuratul Sad aayada (72)

Though these two verses sound similar and have the same meaning, they are in two different chapters and the meaning is;

So, when I have made him and have breathed into him of My Spirit, do ye fall down, prostrating yourselves unto him. (29)               

These two verses clearly demonstrate that human beings are the spirit of God and the angel’s fall down prostrating unto him was a real one to magnify Adam (CS) and bear witness of his highest status which God bestowed on him for the rest of his life and his offspring.

Therefore, human beings who are the spirit of God had come before all monotheistic religions and all divine books which God revealed to his prophets and those books include; the books of Abraham, the Law of Moses, the Gospel of Jesus, the Psalms of David and finally the Furqaan of Mohammed peace be upon them all. According to the chronological sense, the spirit comes first and the word second. Suppose if I say to you, I can talk without spirit/soul, you may surprisingly say, how can you talk without spirit/soul in your body?

All human beings are the creation of God without adding names or labeling them, all of them are the spirit of God, which is superior and holier than the word of God (Revealed books). Therefore, without understanding this point, there is no way that we can understand the exact position which God has put a human being and the absence of perceiving this reality will lead us to find hard to grasp the meaning of life, because human beings have fallen down from their supreme position to the lowest stage, unless we go back to our original position, life will be excruciatingly attenuated and turbulent.               

I want to conclude that both Somali people and the Muslims have to make distinction between two things; the historical position of human being and the original position of human being. By historical position of a human being, I mean; when Haabiil killed his brother Qaabiil unjustly, when racial differences were used to enslave human beings and human beings were purchased and sold like livestock in the market, when humans were colonized and subjugated by force, when people were oppressed degraded and eventually when human being was exploited and dehumanized by the name of God and his word, all these forms were long practice of ill treatment, which inherited us to reach the lowest position in life and that is not the original position which God put human being when he created them.

The second point that we need to pay attention to the original position of human being is that we are created by God from his spirit, he prostrated his angels for us and to be eyewitness of the highest status which he has chosen for us which he never takes away from us, so long as we live in this world, unless someone with corrupted mind who doesn’t have knowledge about the life and the illustrations given by God comes to steal from our God given dignity which he granted on us. Therefore, my fellow respected human being stand up for your holiness and reclaim your right position that God has granted you when you were a drop, and then a clot and do not allow someone like you to reduce an inch from your original position.

taliyetaliye @ 6/25/2009 8:51 AM EST  I think you misunderstood the meaning of the aayah,and if you read more about it in details you may understand how it is far what you wanted to point out. When Allah created man kind has revealed the holly quran to guide them and lead them to the right path, but there is no way we can compare between these two what so ever. I can understand that you may be effected by those people in back home who   killing each other and each side claiming they are fighting for the sake of Allah and his word,but that emation doesn't mean to take you to that far. I don't agree with those who commented your article in a nigative way but I believe you will reverse and read the tafsir of this aayah so fairly and repeat the article with more expalanation and more clearly.

Who gave him the authority to make tafsir on the Qur'an? It seems he is teaching nothing but his opinion. As stated in Tafsir Al-Jalalayn and many others and as understood by the Scholars of Ahlu Sunnah Wal Jama'ah, the breathing of "My Spirit" into Adam (AS) was that of ennoblement. It is impossible for something of Allah to be inside a created being. This is an absolute folly and could easily lead to Shirk. I hope that HOL will correct this as soon as possible by legitimate Ahlu Sunna Scholars so that this wrong understanding does not spread. Br. Nuradiin please consult Tafsir works and scholars before telling the meaning of Qur'anic verses.

He commenced the creation of man from clay; then produced his seed from an extract of base fluid; then formed him and breathed His Soul into him and gave you hearing, sight and hearts. What little thanks you show!” (Surat as-Sajda, 7-9) .

nass1275 @ 6/20/2009 12:15 PM EST  we are not spirit of god, we are created by god. this is the train of thought of the christians, We are god's slaves yes we have hight status with Allah(SWT), but we you get the we are the spirit of god. I think we should leave the religious talk to learned one. and Allah knows best
