"The al-Shabab group no longer possesses the power to fight against our army; they are only capable of carrying out weak ambushes and cannot engage in direct warfare. Building a strong Somali government is ongoing, and we aim to leave a powerful legacy for the Somali people," said President Hassan Sheikh.

The President also mentioned that the government has a well-equipped army with sufficient training to defend the country in war zones.

Prime Minister Barre extended his Eid greetings and message to the Somali armed forces, urging the Somali people to assist one another and support vulnerable people on the occasion of Eid.

"I extend my congratulations to the Somali armed forces who are on the frontlines fighting against al-Shabab and anyone causing insecurity in the country," he stated.

Somaliland President Muse Bihi Abdi advised the community to be cautious during the Eid days to avoid actions that may lead to sin, so as not to undo the good deeds accomplished during Ramadan. He urged the youth to be vigilant against activities that could harm their lives and to contribute to maintaining security.

The Speakers of the bicameral parliament, Sheikh Aden Madobe and Abdi Hashi Abdullahi, conveyed their Eid-ul-Fitr greetings to lawmakers and their families, wishing them and all Muslims that Allah accept their deeds during the holy month of Ramadan.

Additionally, the leaders of the country's five regional states separately extended Eid al-Fitr greetings. They expressed solidarity with those suffering in the country on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr.

Muslims celebrated Eid al-Fitr, marking the end of the Islamic holy month of Ramadan, on Wednesday with family reunions, new clothes, and sweet treats.
