Garowe (HOL) - Puntland security forces arrested an auto rickshaw operator who reportedly killed a soldier from the Nugaal region in Garowe, the capital of Puntland, on Sunday.
According to reports from traders, the soldier, who was among those assigned to market security ahead of Eid, was killed in the center of the Garowe market.
The security agencies have not explained the motive behind the killing of the soldier, identified as Abdihakin Fiqi.
However, reports from various sources indicate that the perpetrator killed the soldier following a dispute when the soldier stopped the auto-rickshaw for tax money.
The suspect is currently in the custody of the police forces in Garowe.
