In addition to Abdulle and his daughter, three others sustained injuries in the incident.
Early but confirmed indications suggest that clan conflicts within Galmudug's jurisdiction may have incited the attack.
As of this report, Galmudug's security forces have not issued a statement regarding the attack that resulted in the loss of lives and injuries.

In our previous report about the attack that resulted in the deaths of traditional elder Nabadon Ali Sheikh Abdulle and his daughter, we inaccurately stated that the incident occurred at Dhusamareb Airport. According to a witness, the attack took place between the villages of Galo and Fargooy, approximately 150km east of Dhusamareb. We also understand that the incident occurred during the nighttime, rather than during the day, as previously reported. Moreover, it has been reported that the victims were tragically burned alive in their vehicle. We regret these errors and are committed to providing accurate news coverage.
