MOGADISHU (HOL) - Two mortar shells landed at Halane area which hosts the UN and African Union mission Sunday evening injuring a foreign national.

The attack which happened at about 1800hrs local time led to suspension of operations at Aden Adde Airport in Mogadishu for about half an hour.Al-Shabaab militant group claimed responsibility for the attack saying their fighters hit the base with several shells.
The militant group Al-Shabaab has carried out such attacks in the past. The last such attack was in October last year which wounded several people.
