FGS: Presidential sacking by Hirshabelle parliament lawful, calls for an election in the next 30 days

Mogadishu (HOL) - The Somali government has released a statement on Sunday calling the sacking of Ali Abdullahi Osoble by the regional parliament ‘lawful’.

The Miniser of Interior, Federal Affairs and Reconciliation, Abdi Farah Saed “Juha” called for an election for a new President within 30 days of Osoble’s dismissal.
Ali Abdullahi Osoble was fired from office after a vote of no confidence tabled by 76 lawmakers was passed by the regional parliament on August 14th.
68 of the 76 MP’s who attended the parliamentary session voted to oust Osoble, leaving only 6 MPs who rejected the vote and two MP's who abstained.
Osoble was fired as the first President of Hirshabelle State after just 10 months on the job.
