MOGADISHU (HOL) – The Al-Qaeda linked Al Shabab group claimed it carried out the bombing on a Somali airliner which made an emergency landing at the Mogadishu airport on early this month.
Al Shabab said in an emailed statement Saturday that its operatives carried out the bombing on Daallo airlines which left a gaping hole on the plane’s side.
The group said it was targeting senior western intelligence officials operating in Somalia.
The militant group vowed it would continue attacks against western intelligence in Somalia.
