MOGADISHU (HOL) ----At least 5 people were killed and 10 others wounded in a car bomb blast at a busy junction in the Somali capital Saturday, police say.
The car packed with explosives was parked near a café close to ex Jubba hotel in Mogadishu. According the police, most of the victims were bystanders waiting for buse.
Witnesses described pools of blood as the bomb had some of the victims blown off their limbs while others sustained serious wounds.
The Al-Qaeda linked Al-Shabab group has claimed the responsibility for the blast which comes hours after a suicide car bomber has detonated his explosives-laden vehicle at a military training camp in the port city of Kismayo, killing at least 15 people.
Al-shabab radio has claimed the bomber has killed over 100 soldiers in the attack.
