Mogadishu, Somalia (HOL) - The military high court of the federal government of Somalia has executed two Al Shabab members for the murder of new female graduate student in Mogadishu earlier this year.
Hassan Mohamed Abdi and Shafi'i Abdi Hersi were found guilty of killing Nafiso Osman Salad after snatching her from her home in the capital Mogadishu.
Asad Osman Salad, the older brother of the assassinated girl who was reached for comment by HOL, has lauded for the death punishment on the assassination of his sister.
The death punishment was carried out by firing squad in the open ground of the Somali Police School near the airport on Tuesday morning.
Chairman of the military court Liban Ali yarow told the media that the two men were punished for a crime of murder of Nafiso Osman Salad whom they killed early this year, after they snatched her from her home while her parents watched and couldn’t defend their daughter.
