New Measures to Control Movement of Refugees in Camps

Refugees Commission announced new conditions and requirements to regulate movement of refugees in camps and border crossings through legal screening in accordance with the commission law.

Sudan continues to be the home for refugees from Eritrea, Ethiopia and Somalia since four decades and is providing basic services to them in camps.

Most of the refugees in Sudan are youths who have fled their countries to avoid conscription and they are being legally screened at border entry points before they are transported to camps, Hamad Al-Jazooli, refugee commissioner told the Sudanese Media Centre (smc).

Sudan has spotless record in the field of refugees hosting, it receives them in camps and provide them with basic services, he said.
