ACEA Virtus Roma (Italy, Serie A) has added American rookie Faisal Aden (193 cm, Washington State’12) to its playing staff. Aden is in his first year as a pro, and the 24-year old guard will be looking to bolster a Virtus Roma team in a good position to claim a play-off berth this season. Roma is currently 5th in the Serie A standings with a 12-6 record.
Last season Aden was playing with Washington State in the NCAA, and it proved a particularly fruitful campaign for the tricky guard. In 17 games last year, Somalia born Aden averaged 14.5ppg, 3.1rpg, and 1.4apg.
In the summer of 2012 Faisal Aden was drafted to the Santa Cruz Warriors in the D-League, but he only pre-seasoned with the team before departing for the Frisco Texas Legends.
