Two grenade attacks hit Baidoa city in south-west Somalia late last night.
Government officials in the area say there is no reports of casualties as
they have started investigations to find out the perpetrators.
Assailants targeted bases of Ethiopian and Somali government troops in the city.
"One of the explosions took place near the city bank, there is no
casualties so far”. Said an army official in Baidoa.
Eyewitnesses in Baidoa say they were terrified
after they heard two heavy explosions early last night.
Despite Alshabab fighters fled from the City after the Ethiopian incursion,
the group is still influential in the area as it has been their stronghold for
years.
