Minneapolis (AP) - Saeed Fahia is executive director of the Confederation of Somali Community in Minnesota. He was among more than 50 people nationwide to be honored by FBI Director Robert Mueller during a Friday ceremony in Washington.
The FBI says Fahia's non-profit group provides services and advocates for Somali immigrants and refugees in the Twin Cities. It also offers programs including youth services and refugee settlement services.
Ralph Boelter, the special agent in charge of the FBI office in Minneapolis, attended the ceremony. He says Fahia is a role model who has dedicated his life to bringing dreams of freedom and prosperity to members of the Somali community.
