The Annual Washington, DC metro Somali Family Picnic

Approximately 400 Somalis and friends of Somalis attended the Annual Washington, DC metro Somali Family Picnic event which took place on Saturday, July 4, 09. Everyone enjoyed the food, drinks and fun activities.

The attendees remembered Hassan Hagi Elmi Gure who was one of the founders and organized the first Somali Family Picnic event 15 years ago.  

 

His daughter, Nahid Gure attended the event. Hawa Yusuf Warsame is one of the founders of the event and close friend of Hassan.
