This report states what almost every Somali knows so there is nothing new. There are constant reports of individuals who supposedly went to Somalia to help rebuild the country, but only helped themselves by stealing all the money donated to the poor. If we are serious about the corruption the money these heartless individuals stole should be returned to Somalia.It is not difficult to trace that money, it is usually invested in the neighbouring countries.We all remember former prime minister Ali Mohamed Gedi stealing millions and buying vilas in Neirobi, why it s not auctioned and money returned to Somali people? Similar stories are abound, current and former ministers, prime ministers, presidents, and other officials buying millions-worth properties in Kenya and UAE.We all know who stole it and where it is invested, the challenge is to seize it and return to the rightful owners - the Somali people.
