Somali Minister of Diaspora Affaires, Hon Abdullahi Ahmed Abdulle Azhari and Somali Ambassador to Kenya, H.E. Mohamed Ali Nur Americo, concluded two days official visit to Ottawa, Canada on Wednesday April 01, 2009.
On Tuesday March 31, 2009, the Somali Delegation were received as guests of the House of the Commons and were acknowledged in a full house session of the Canadian Parliament during question period, where the Speaker of the Canadian Parliament, Hon Peter Milliken, announced “I would like to draw to the attention of Honorable Members the presence in the gallery of Honorable Abdullahi Ahmed Abdulle, the Minister of Diaspora Affaires for Somalia and H.E. Mohamed Ali Nur, the Somali Ambassador to Keny a“. After the Speaker’s announcement, the full house of members of the parliaments rouses up to honor the Somali Delegation.
On Wednesday April 01, 2009, Hon Abdullahi Ahmed Abdulle Azhari and H.E. Mohamed Ali Nur Americo, held a two hour meeting with a 15 member contingent of the Canadian Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade. At the conclusion of the meeting, the Somali Delegation were invited to a lunch reception inside the Canadian Parliament and was attended by Parliamentarians, officials from the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade, and also elders from the Somali Diaspora Community.
According to the Canadian Officials and the Somali Delegation, the two days visit was very productive. “I conveyed to the Canadian official the urgency of the situation in Somalia, and what the immediate needs of the government are. I found them to be well informed”, said by Somali Minister of Diaspora Affaires, Hon Abdullahi Ahmed Abdulle Azhari. Added Ambassador Mohamed Ali Nur Americo “Canadian Foreign Officials are for the first time on the wave length as us. We briefed them on the present needs of reconciliation, security and capacity building, and they indicated that they will be full partners with us.”
On the evening of Wednesday April 01, 2009, the Somali delegation were invited to a reception organized by the Somali community in Ottawa, were the Ambassador and the Minister had a frank discussion and consultations with community. The meeting was facilitated by Farah Aw-Osman of Canadain Friends of Somalia.
The Somalia delegation’s visit to Ottawa was facilitated by the Somali Canadian National Congress and Canadian Friends of Somalia. “We invited the Minister and Ambassador to Canada so that the Somali Canadian Diaspora community can become active stake holders in the reconstruction of the country”, said Mr. Abdi Hashi Seed, the vice President of the Congress. The Somali Delegation were accompanied by elders from the Somali Community of Canada, among them Mr. Nasir Abdi Baale, Mr. Hilowle Mohamed Shino, Mr. Hersi Sahal and Mr. Saacid Dahir Sacid.

I agree what most of the commentatators stated here. You blocked Dr Lamadage and that was very unfair and poor judgement on your part. You need to activate that gentleman's account. You should also block the comments of those who insult any Somali clans, negate them, or insult our diin. Keep in mind I attack entities (SL and PL) and not specific clan names and in my view those are clear distinctions.
Finally, accept those who have different view points who do not agree with TFG2. We are all Somalis and majority of us love our country but have different view points. If you see us attacking a politician that you HOL admins support, that should not cause you to block most of our comments nor deactivate our accounts. Mentioning Islaax's role in Mercy that was used to keep track the activities of Somali Islamists is not a reason to deactivate Dr Lamadage's account.

What is the purpose of the Somali Ambassador to Kenya doing in Ottawa while Kenya is abusing Somali Citizens in Kenya. People should stick to the real issues and do the job they were assigned to do.

We are quick to shun and critisise any one who dares to go through the dust bin to bring our tarnished name to the surface so we can clean it , polish it and claim our place in the world community.
No one has all the answers and there are no saints in Somalia including those who led us to believe that they are there only to spread the good word and make differences for the sake of their people. That is far from the truth.
Innocent poor Somalis can not go back to their homes to build their lives. They are denied because every mindless group wants to rule and none of them has the capability or the quality nor the decency or even the knowledge to deliver what it takes to be a leader or a team member.

Harber Government will not recognize or help any Somali Government.
They didn't do more for the previuos government which had EU and
the American backing. You can do as much as photo ops you want,
but reality in the ground will not change. Having said that, I do welcome
the efforts of Mohamed Ali Ameriko and Abdullahi Ahmed Abdulle Azhari.

Tell us what is the good thing that they are doing? C'mon, they need to do the good work in Somalia and forget about touring the world capitals. Even the TFG2 'president' spent more time in touring world capitals than spending time in Somalia and talking to other Somalis that he genuinely needs to engage, that is if he is genuine.
If this Junta has any patriotism and decency left, I challenge them to speak out against foreign navies that are coming to the Somali coast, arresting poor fishermen, declaring them as pirates, and handing them over to Kenya. Since when Kenya became a legitimate authority for Somali nationals when they are unjustly captured in their own country, they can be thrown at Kenyan jails? I did not see one member of this f-a-r-c-e ‘government’ lifting a finger.
We are used to people doing good things as it is happening in Southern Somalia where peace and justice have been restored, where Sharia law is upheld, where long suffering Somali people in Southern Somalia is breathing an air that is free from warlord manipulations, where Ethios invaders where thrown out and where Kenya was given a warning to stay out of Somalia’s internal affairs. These are the men and women whom I see doing good things in Somalia and acting as the legitimate authority.

Some of our own people are spending time and effort destroying our country while these honourable people are striving towards rebuilding it.
