Had we have known of how Dar.ood was so dysfunctional we wouldn't have prosecuted them. Imagine that, even Reer Hamar were involved in the carnage! May I know which side?

Every Somali clan excluding (Jareer Weyne, Reer Hamar (Banaadiri), Gibil Cad, Anaas, Madhibaan, and other coast line communities) have participated the civil war. We should not take that route now. It is an ugly part of the Somalia's history. Having said that, when time comes, all of those leaders who have committed harm should have their day in a Sharia court. It looks like this fella, Shanta, wants to have an excuse for those who have invited a h*ted enemy into our country. Both Hussein Aid, Abdillaahi Yusuf, and every one else who is part of Ethiopian invasion should have their day in court, if that is possible. No distinction should be made between any of these thugs.

There were Darods who were harmed but Darod was also participant in the civil war and did not loose between 350,000 - 500000 people in killing, starvation, and disease. It is Digil & Miririfle clans, Jareer Weyne, Banaadiri, Gibil Cad, Reer Baraawe, and other coastal community who really paid the heaviest price of this brutal Civil war. I hope when we have peace we correct that mistake by recognising and accepting that we destroyed the least protected Somali clans. For some reason which I don't understand, we, Somalis, know what happened to our clans, and families, but never pay attention to what happened to other Somali clans. We are also stubborn and will never admit that we have committed horrendous crimes against each other and we need to move on to save the rest of the people who survived from that brutal civil war. We all need personal transition to move away from clannist to Islam. I believe this is the only thing that can break that cycle. The day you and and every other Somali feel the pain of other Somalis no matter which clan they belong to, that is day we will correct those mistakes. It is not hard to do it.
