Al-Shabab: Conspiracy Has Failed

Mogadishu, Somalia (HOL) - Spokesman for the Al-Shabab forces Sheik Mukhtar Roobow Abuu Mansuur said that a conspiracy organized by some TFG Parliamentarians to fight Al-Shabab forces in Bay and Bakol regions has failed.

Sheik Mukhtar said the conspirators wanted to create unrest among civilians in the two regions [and blame it on Al-Shabab forces].

“Among those behind the conspiracy are Muse Sudi and Mohamed Qanyare and we tell them that they will fail in their conspiracy and that we are aware of their plans,” added Sheik Mukhtar who was speaking to Somaliweyn radio in Mogadishu.

Sheik Mukhtar said that Al-Shabab forces have the capability to learn about anyone organizing activities against Al-Shabab forces. He added that they will continue their struggle to liberate Somalia from Ethiopian occupation.

On a different note, Sheik Mukhtar welcomed efforts to reconcile feuding clans in Bay region and added that they will support any group that is working for peace and reconciliation.

I know that Somali Unity is important however people are divided into two groups. One group supports the resistance and other support the occupation.When occupation forces leave Somalia, we can start talking about Somali affairs. However, as long as you are blindly supporting the Ethiopian occupation we remain far apart. The hypocrisy is obvious when you talk about Somali affairs but you are obviously silent about the atrocities of the occupation and sometimes condone and support.
