Las Anod (HOL) - The SSC Khatumo administration has accused the Somaliland administration of fueling conflicts in the areas of the Sanag region following the recent killing of two civilians from SSC areas.
In a press release issued on Tuesday, SSC-Khatumo stated that Somaliland authorities are mobilizing troops in the Sanag region to initiate a new conflict, which they anticipate could last for a prolonged period.
They added that the consequences of the conflict and the killings of civilians will be attributed to the Somaliland administration.
The SSC Khatumo administration emphasized that Somaliland is organizing an invasion against their territories, which they adamantly refuse to accept. They declare their readiness to resist any attack from Somaliland.
In February 2023, the traditional elders of Sool, Sanaag, and Ayn, collectively known as SSC-Khatumo, announced their intention to establish an independent federal state in Somalia called SSC-Khatumo.
However, on October 19, 2023, the Federal Government of Somalia officially recognized the administration of SSC-Khatumo.
