Inter-clan fighting kills six people along Hiraan-Middle Shabelle border

    Beledweyne (HOL) - At least six people were killed in inter-clan fighting in areas along the border between Hiraan and Middle Shabelle regions over the past few hours.

    According to residents, the clashes erupted between militia from the Hawadle and Abgal clans in areas between the Moqokori and Aden Yabal districts.

    The Hirshabeelle State administration has accused the al-Shabab group of instigating clashes between the two communities living in the area, aiming to sow chaos among clans that have been coexisting peacefully.

    Recent clan clashes have been concentrated along the Hiraan and Middle Shabelle border, particularly in Jalalaqsi, Moqokori, Mahaday, and Aden Yabal districts in the Hiraan and Middle Shabelle regions.
